Couples Counseling

The Couples Counselling approach that we employ is based on Positive Therapy, Socratic Questioning and The Developmental Model of Couples Therapy developed by Peter and Ellyn Bader of The Couple Institute, USA.
The stage of development at which the couple is, their attachment styles and their style of communicating their concern to each other are analysed. Interventions are designed to make the couple understand each other’s emotions and the reasons for their constant conflicts. Couples therapy is complemented with Personal Counselling as and when required.
Couples can benefit from counselling in either of these stages:
Pre-marriage counselling helps prospective couples to ease into the new roles by starting a conversation on relationships beyond the initial blush of love.
Early years Counselling helps the young couple navigate the complexities of living together, with the families, managing work and family expectations.
Counselling for couples issues addresses communication amongst couples and ‘how to fight well’, to ease out the tensions and help them look forward, make decisions and take action.
